USAToday Discussion Board

In November of 2002, we began developing, supporting and hosting a new and emerging discussion board component of USAToday.com. The intention was to gradually integrate discussion and content and to help USA Today continue to outsource most of the technical operations of their web board infrastructure. USA Today found that by outsourcing the forum component to Openflows, they could concentrate on their core competencies — content production and editorial services — as well as increase the reliability of the platform. This service launched in mid-January of 2003 and ran for several years.
