Initiated in November of 2002, we are developing, supporting and hosting the new and emerging slash component of USAToday.com. Launched in mid-January of 2003, the intention is to gradually integrate discussion and content, while USAToday outsources most of the technical operations of their web board infrastructure. USAToday found that by outsourcing the slash component to Openflows, they can concentrate on their core competency -- content production and editorial services -- as well as increase the reliability of the platform.
